Sandra L. Berry

Sandra Louise Berry (Robertson) passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the age of 81 in Grove, Oklahoma. Born on July 5, 1943, in Southwest City, Oklahoma to Marshall and Helen (Barnes) Robertson. Throughout her life, Sandra was known for her creativity, love for family and vibrant personality. During high school Sandra was the designer of the distinctive Ridgerunner logo, where the mascot’s head was looking backward over his shoulder. The logo was used for many years. After graduating from Grove High School in 1961, she continued her love of art. In her personal life, Sandra's hobbies were as unique and spirited as she was. She had a natural talent for rock laying and an avid appreciation for collecting antique grindstones. An artist by nature, she started drawing as a young girl and grew as an artist using every medium, from watercolors to oil painting canvas that still adorn the family home today. Her artistry was extended to her love of gardening. Sandra’s quirky love for clearing brush and burning leaves kept her landscape immaculate and Butler Fire Department on call. Sandra dedicated many years to meticulously managing the accounts as a bookkeeper for both family businesses, Honey Creek Nursery and Honey Creek Implement. Her work was not just a job, it was a testament to her commitment and care for her family's livelihood. Sandra was also deeply family-oriented, raising five wonderful children, who were the center of her world. Her home was a hub of love and generosity, filled with the laughter and warmth of a closely-knit family and dear friends. Sandra's legacy of love and unwavering dedication to her family and community will be cherished by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Bill Berry, her parents, Marshall and Helen Robertson, her grandparents, Oler and Augusta Barnes and Bessie and Willard Robertson, son-in-law Tom Steen and nephew Toby Robertson. Left to cherish Sandra’s memory, daughter Michelle White and husband Henry, daughter Keli Zimmer and husband Kurt, daughter Kim Dodson and husband Justin, son Shane Berry and wife Kim, son James Shawn Berry and wife Kelly. Grandchildren: Megan Lasch and husband Josh, Timothy Steen and wife Sara, Molly Steen and wife Bridget Mathhauser, McKalee Steen, Tylor Godsey and husband David, Tra’ Dodson and wife Rylee, Billy Berry, Marshall Berry and Morgan Berry. Great Grandchildren: Beckett Lasch, Naomi Lasch, Oliver Steen, Emelia Steen, Jasper Dodson, Paiden Dodson and Bruce Godsey. Siblings: sister Virginia Womack and husband Tom, sister Marsha Poore and husband Richard, brother Darrel Robertson and wife Carol, sister Patsy Bero. Cousin: Maxine Stephenson. A host of nieces, nephews and their families. Visitation will be from 5pm – 7pm Friday, January 31. Funeral services will be at 10am Saturday, February 1, 2025, both at Nichols-Stephens Funeral Service, Grove, OK. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. In honor of Sandra's love for gardening and flowers, contributions can be made to Lendonwood Garden, a place that reflects her passion for the beauty of nature.
