Norita R Taylor

Norita Ruth Taylor, age 83, of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on February 8, 2025, after a short battle with cancer. Born on September 14, 1941, in Daleville, Indiana, to Lonzie and Frances (Stinson) Smith, Norita was a beacon of faith and kindness throughout her life. Dedicating many years to ministry, Norita served as the Care Pastor at Cornerstone Church in Grove, OK, and previously at Good Shepherd World Outreach Church. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her involvement with the Rhema Ministerial International Association and her passion for bringing the word of God to those around her. Norita was also a gifted cook and photographer, often capturing church events and hosting gatherings that showcased her culinary skills and love for God. Norita married the love of her life, Paul E. Taylor in Muncie, Indiana on July 7, 1985, and proceeded to engage in their life of ministry together. He sadly preceded her in death in 2020. She pursued higher education at Ball State University and Rhema Bible Training School, which further equipped her for her calling in pastoral care. Norita's warmth and creativity touched many lives, both within her family and her community. Norita was predeceased by her parents, her husband Paul Taylor, her son Gerry Greenlee, and her daughter Michelle Cadle. Left to cherish her memory is her 2 brothers Jerry Smith of Daleville, Indiana and Alvin Smith of Muncie, Indiana, son Brian Greenlee of Grove, Oklahoma, her daughter, Jan (Dan) Ice of Alexandria, Indiana and her son Ray (Heather) Taylor of Warsaw, Indiana; grandchildren – Anthony (Tammie) Alvarado, Brianna Boyd, Becky Hughes, Daniel (DJ) Adam Ice, April Benham, Cory Taylor, Dillon Bogard, Stephanie Clark, Cayla Cadle, Casey Bristol and Jenna Stanley, great grandchildren Kaylee (Colten) Wheeler, Kelcey and Kole, plus innumerable spiritual grandchildren as well as many great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Cornerstone Church, 501 S. Main St. Grove, OK.
