Jana R. Kimball

Jana Kimball passed away on February 26, 2025, in Monkey Island, Oklahoma, after a long battle with cancer. Jana was born on March 25, 1958, to Kenneth and Melba Jolly in Rantoul, Illinois. She graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1975 and continued her education at Tulsa Junior College. Jana spent over 40 years in the trucking industry beginning in 1974 at Mid Western Nursery in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where she worked prior to moving to Oklahoma City in 1983. Jana spent the next decade as a dispatcher for CH Robinson, Donco Carriers and Freymiller Trucking before dedicating the rest of her career to Kimball’s Produce, which she retired from in 2016. On June 14, 1997, she married Bill Kimball on Monkey Island and together they built a life centered around their shared adventures. An active member of the Shangri-La Women's Golf Club, Jana enjoyed the camaraderie of the sport. She had a passion for reading and cooking, finding joy in both learning and creating. She also took great pleasure in entertaining and often brought family and friends together. For eight years, Jana devoted herself as a caregiver to her husband during his battle with Alzheimer's, demonstrating her unwavering dedication and strength. She faced her own four-year battle with cancer with resilience and determination. Jana was known for her strong will, outgoing nature, and generosity. A classy lady who loved to have fun and travel, she had a keen sense of style and an appreciation for the finer things in life. Jana was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill Kimball. Left to cherish her memory: brothers, Kerry Jolly of Tulsa, OK, and Kevin Jolly of Afton, OK, sister, Kristy Beamish (Alan) of Grove, stepdaughter, Michelle Thompson (Chris) of Bentonville, AR, 2 step granddaughters, Macy and Brooklyn Thompson of Bentonville, AR and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4pm – 6pm Saturday, March 1, and funeral services will be at 2pm Sunday, March 2, 2025, both at Nichols-Stephens Funeral Service. Burial to follow at Rolston Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Lung Association in Jana’s memory.
