Linda L. Sawvel, age 80, of Grove, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Linda was born on February 22, 1941 in Pryor, Oklahoma to Henry and Dradie (Dunbar) Fogle. She graduated from Grove High School and then attended Beauty College. After graduating, she and her husband Jimmie got married in October 1962 at Lavern's Wedding Chapel in Miami. She opened her own shop, Linda's Beauty Shop, in Grove, where she worked for 38 years until her retirement in 1998. After her retirement, never one to sit still, she became an employee of Walmart in Grove. Besides being a top notch beauty operator with a great following, she also enjoyed geneology, cross stitching and crochet. Fishing grand lake with her husband was also a favored pasttime. She enjoyed her customers and had her favorites. "If she liked you, you were just alright in her book." Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother Doug Fogle. Left to cherish her memories, her husband Jimmie, son Jimmie D. Sawvel of Delaware, Oklahoma and granddaughter Kirsten Sawvel of Tennessee. She will be greatly missed by family and many friends.
