Sharon Kay Dollarhide

Sharon Kay Dollarhide (Lewis), age 75, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, at her home in Grove, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 11, 1951, in Longview, Washington, to James and Mary Opal Lewis. Sharon spent most of her life in Grove, where she attended Grove High School and built a life centered around faith, family, and community. Sharon was a woman of many roles and talents. She began her life’s work as a devoted homemaker, caring deeply for her family. Over the years, she also worked as a sales clerk at Felt’s Shoes and served her community through Grove Public Schools as both a bus driver and a lunch lady. Her strong faith guided her life—she was a firm believer in Christ, an ordained minister, and preached several times at Cave Springs Church, where she spent many years as a devoted member. Known for her sweet yet spunky personality, Sharon was the beloved matriarch of the Dollarhide family—the glue that held everyone together. She loved spending time at Snider’s Campground by the lake, visiting with the neighboring campers, fishing, spoiling her dog, and most of all, being surrounded by her family. On March 11, 1967, Sharon married the love of her life, Darrell Dollarhide, in Grove, Oklahoma. Together they shared 59 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Jerry “Loy” Lewis, Sue Jackson, and Gary Lewis, and her great-granddaughter, Emalee Grace Shaw. She is survived by her loving husband, Darrell Dollarhide; her children, Mike Dollarhide (Brittany), Rebecca Auch (Rick), Lee Dollarhide (Lisa), and Tisha Wetzel, all of Grove; her siblings, Irvina McCoy (Curtis) and Sandy Self (Tim); her brother-in-law, Larry Dollarhide (Mona); and her sisters-in-law, Linda Phillips and Doris Ryan (Steve). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Callie Hernon (Tyler), Shelby Eveland (Michael), Chelsea Walker (Trenton), Sarah Sharp, Cole Dollarhide, Kayla Dollarhide, Carter Dollarhide, Samantha Wetzel (Nate), Jacob Wetzel, and Amy Sharp (Mitch) and her beloved great-grandchildren: Turner, Urijah, Graesyn, Bennett, Rowan, Baker, Saylah, and Brooks; along with many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, April 14, at Nichols Stephens funeral service. Funeral services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Delaware Baptist Church. Burial will be at Butler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Sharon. Sharon’s legacy of love, leadership, faith, and spirited devotion will be deeply cherished and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
