Harold "Butch" H. Cavanaugh

Harold “Butch” Cavanaugh age 73 of Fairland, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024, at his home. Harold was born on November 11, 1950, to James and Daisy (Ayres) Cavanaugh in Wichita KS, where he grew up and graduated from high school. Butch began his professional journey in the Air Force, where he served with honor and dedication and received many medals and commendations. After retiring, he went on to work at the Bureau of Engraving, printing money. Butch's commitment to his work was commendable, and he was well-respected by his colleagues. One of Butch's greatest accomplishments was his unwavering devotion to his faith. He volunteered at his local church, particularly with the backpack program. He recognized the importance of ensuring children had access to proper nutrition, and he worked tirelessly to provide backpacks filled with essential food items to those in need. serving as a shining example of love and kindness. Through his selfless acts, he touched the lives of many and brought comfort to those in need. Butch's life was filled with countless highlights, demonstrating his compassion for his fellow veterans. He was an active member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), dedicating his time to transport veterans to appointments and events. His commitment to supporting his fellow servicemen and women was admirable. Beyond his commitments, Butch had a vibrant personality and a heart full of love. He adored his family, and their happiness meant the world to him. He had a unique ability to bring joy to any gathering, and his jovial nature will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Harold "Butch" Cavanaugh was a remarkable individual who lived a life dedicated to service, love, and compassion. His legacy will continue to inspire and touch the lives of those he left behind. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Sally Cavanaugh and siblings, Marge, Dutchie and Mary and sons, Michael and Anthony. Left to cherish his memory, bonus daughter, Kerry Kimmons (Blake) of Fairland, OK. grandchildren, Trinity, Tanner and Tyler Cavanaugh, Britney, Hattie and Melia, Carlee, Kelsie and Dakota, sisters, Jennie and Billie and many great grandchildren. Per his wishes, there will be no services.
