Danny Ray Clark

Danny Ray Clark, age 72, of Grove, Oklahoma passed away on December 18, 2021 with his beloved family at his side. Danny was born on August 11, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Murl and Margie (Kirkland) Clark. He graduated high school from Brownsville, Indiana, where he met the mother of his two girls, Sandra L. Adkinson. While their marriage wouldn't last forever, as they had hoped, Danny and Sandy remained friends until the day she departed. As a team they raised their two daughters, Jennifer and Aimee and they soon grew up and started families of their own. Danny met Ronna Revels and fell in love, he couldn't wait to marry her and become "Dad" to Pammy (Ronnals daughter) and Papa to her daughter Courtney. Dan used to smile from ear to ear when he would hear his grandchildren utter the word Papa. He started his career for the Indiana Painters Union for 1 5 years which led him into carpentry and building homes; he eventually started Clark Construction Co. where he owned and operated it for over 40 years. He enjoyed working with wood and had a natural talent for cabinetry and trim. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle in his spare time along with fishing, boating, camping, and taking his family to the Colorado Sand Dunes when the girls were younger. As a young man Danny enlisted in the Army and was never called to service, however he was proud of the fact that he carried his enlistment card in his wallet and said he would forever. Danny moved his family to the Grove area in 1983 to be closer to his parents. He was very active as a coach to his girls' softball team, and even played in his own league. The girls used to tease Danny by saying that he looked like a choo choo train because he had such a short stride when he rounded the bases. Danny was also a thoughtful, hopeless romantic, he liked to write love letters to his wife Ronna on birthdays, special occasions and even days that were "just because" days. Danny Ray was a man with integrity he held true while teaching his daughters the value of good morals and how to find courage when life gets you down. He was proud of the life he lived. Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Murl and Margie Clark, his brother Richard Clark, and the mother of his children, Sandra Clark. Left to cherish his memory, his wife Ronna Clark, his daughters Jennifer (Justin) Crittenden of Kerrville, Texas, Aimee (Josh) Gelinas of Grove, Oklahoma and step daughter Pam (Rick) Nutting of Afton, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Paige (Kevin) Crittenden-Landgrebe, Reagan (Will) Crittenden-Kuhlman, Ian Crittenden, Ronan Dee Crittenden, Anna Crittenden, Haiden Jennings, Courtney Dawson, David Nutting, Dakota Christie, and four great grandchildren, Reese Landgrebe, Haizlee Davis, Kinzlee Jennings, and Maveryck Foster.
